ZION 15652 Superintendents Annual Report 1963
Superintendent's Annual Report 1963 - 1964, Russell E. Dickenson, Superintendent, 1 folder, 10 pages, no visitation stats. Contains: 8 tracts of privately owned land purchased (1,451 acres), 1,194 acres optioned and under condemnation proceedings, and 1,800 state owned land imminent to be transferred, 4,615 acres represent approx. 1/3 of private land in park boundary. Mission 66: 3 new residences built. 1st assent of Great White Throne by NPS personnel May 21,1964: Dell Armstrong, Chief Park Ranger; William Lukens, District Ranger; Jack Moorehead (GLCA) Park Ranger. Repairs started on riverbanks, rim trails and revetments from flood damages in Sept 14, 1962.
