This is an historic color photograph from the Scotty's Castle Historic Photograph Collection, Death Valley National Park of a large, open patio with red tiled floor. Taken from 2nd story looking down at sides of building with mottled stucco walls, windows with wood lentils and wood shutters, and red tile roof lines. Ground- level elongated oval dirt planters along each wall. At end of patio is arched wall with elaborate gate. Beyond is faint background of palm trees and desert hillsides.
