Chiricahua landscape, Chiricahua National Monument, 2014.

Rising sometimes hundreds of feet into the air, many of these rock pinnacles seem to balance on small bases, ready to topple over at any moment. The monument has many natural features related to local geology: shallow caves, faults, mountain formations, soils, caldera and lava flows.
