Typed on paper glued to back of photo: "He was a Mono Indian who worked for J. M. Hutchings. After Mr. Hutchings left the valley he went into the seed business gathering seed along the whole length of the coast from British Columbia down into lower California. Tom accompanied Mr. Hutchings as a packer, and would go anywhere with him. He named his daughter "Cosie" --Cosie Hutchings Mills 1/25/48.
