Guidelines for Long-Term Monitoring Protocols
Guidelines for Long-Term Monitoring Protocols
These guidelines are presented to recommended content and format of monitoring protocols. These protocols are necessary to ensure that changes detected by monitoring are actually occurring and are not a result of measurements taken by different people or in slightly different ways. The NPS and US Geological Survey have adopted these guidelines to assist scientists developing protocols for more than 270 national parks units.
