On right of page: “New York Nov 17 1852 Dear Sir I have your favor of the 15th relating to the affairs of the Cotton Mill – I am going to Boston on the 19th to stay a few days and will write from there any conclusion we may [illegible] at - The closing sale of the shawls was a good one – Those you are now sending are all delivered as soon as received at $6 The three [cans?] received this morning were very [illegible]. Yours truly J W Patterson My opinion is that the cotton mills may to run to advantage though I wish it was on Drillings rather than sheetings” On left of page: "Almy Patterson & Co 11mo 17th 52" Postmarked in black ink "NEW-YORK NOV 17" Red postage stamp "U.S. POSTAGE THREE CENTS" "R.P.
