“Paterson N. J. April 15th 1853
Sir
I wrote Mssrs Almy Patterson & Co asking the price and terms of the Waterloo Mill property. I yesterday received their answer stating they did not know the terms.
You will please answer this stating the valuation now placed on the whole that is to be sold also the terms of payments of the same as upon those answers will depend whether I shall be there as the time of sale or not.

“The mill & fixtures Cost about $54,000 It is to be sold [illegible] to the Highest bidder without reserve payments 1/4 down bals in 6-12-18 & 24 months with interest [illegible] on the property &[illegible] 4mo 18th 53"

“Please take notice that a meeting of the Stockholders of the Waterloo Cotton Company will be held at their offices on the 30 inst at 1 pm to go see [illegible] [inspections?] the subject of the sale of the mill & closing up of the concern & other business a punctual attendance is [deserved?]
