Snowshoes allow for travel across challenging terrain which can prove inaccessible to other modes of transit. Expeditioners, rangers, and tourists alike use snowshoes to travel in Yellowstone. These snowshoes are stamped "USNPS" on the top of each tail section. They were manufactured for the National Park Service by the C. A. Lund Ski Company of Hastings, Minnesota.
