Nez Perce riders commemorate the tragedy of 1877 flight while celebrating a continuation of culture by hosting a horse ride and wearing regalia. The riders are depicted here passing in front of the Canyon Visitor Education Center at Yellowstone National Park. The commemoration event also included dances by tribal members in traditional regalia.
