"Tally-Ho" Stagecoach

The Abbot and Downing Company used this six-horse "Tally-Ho" stagecoach to transport visitors and luggage from the train station in Cinnabar, and later the North Pacific Gardiner depot, to the hotel at Mammoth Hot Springs. Designed for rugged roads, these coaches accommodated up to 23 passengers across the main carriage and upper level seats. The name "Tally-Ho" is derived from the greeting riders would give to passersby.
