Back of a carte-de-visite. Front shows a stone or marble statue memorial with Dante on top, one figure bottom left carrying staff and crowned with star, other figure bottom right weeping over a casket. It is placed in an interior in front of arched niche. Carved inscription including 1829 in Roman numerals barely visible. Inscription: Photographer stamp includes printed in purple ink under image and verso "Fratelli Alinari, Firenze." Notes: C1865-C1870 because of general format and assumed creation of statue (1865). Originally filed in Dante Material.
