Walter C. Battice to Alice Mary Longfellow, 24 October 1887
Manuscript letter
Bridgewater, Mass.
Oct. 24. 1887.
Miss Alice Longfellow,
My Dear Friend
Miss Cora M. Folsom has recently informed me through the letter of your kindness in offering to aid Miss Annie Dawson and myself in preparing for our future work.
You have done a great for me and I feel much indebted to you. No words can express my gratitude
I was very sorry [p. 2] not to find you at home when I called in September.
I insure [sic] you that I shall do my best here at school and when I shall have finished my course.
I am your true [dot over word true] friend.
Walter Battice
