Back of a cabinet card. Front shows an image in an oval. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow three-quarter view to his right. Jacket has silk trim. Inscription: Photographer's imprint includes "Warren's / New Photographic Studio, / 145 Tremont Street . . . Boston, Mass. / Under the personal superintendance of Mr. S. B. Heald." Notes: C1870-C1872. Warren and Heald probably at 145 Tremont Street only a short time before moving (Steele and Polito, Directory of Massachusetts Photographers). Suit resembles those worn by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in late 1860s.
