LIBI_00266_07933; An original albumen, small cabinet card: 4 1/4” x 6 ½”. This image is a studio portrait of George Armstrong Custer. Custer is wearing buckskins and a fur cap. He is holding his.50-70 Springfield rifle in right hand. This image is similar to others in collection. The verso contains a handwritten note: “To Hattie with king regards of her sincere friend. G A Custer US Army July 2, 1872.” The verso also contains the mark of Scholten Photographic Studio of St. Louis. The photograph is in excellent condition.
