Scenery – Typical south-facing slope in Redwood Canyon showing parallel trails made by domestic stock in the past. This is a symptom of previous over-grazing. The stock has been removed and nature is taking care of the erosion condition by clothing the soil with grass chaparral. Negative #: 8060. Locality: Redwood Canyon, California.
Scanned and described by NPS History Collection staff, December 2020. This project was made possible by donation from the Family of George Melendez Wright in honor of his legacy.
