Final sculpture includes a broadly sketched poster concept in watercolor linework on a one-ply coated paper stock measuring 27-3/4" x 41-11/16". The preliminary work shows the proposed bronze content and proposed title "The Adams Mansion Quincy Mass" at top and below "National Park Service 1972." There are line drawings of two artist's brushes in the lower left area. Some letter concepts on reverse side as well. Artist prepared a plaster bas-relief sculpture for use in casting the bronze sculpture. The sculpture's image becomes the predominate visual element of the poster augmented by NPS approved typographic elements independent of the art piece. Value of concept and plaster bas-relief $7,500.00. Two bronze bas-relief sculptures were cast from the plaster and patina applied by the Bedi-Makky Foundry in Brooklyn, New York. Inverted "v" brackets applied to the back of each sculpture. Costs paid separately by the National Park Service at $600.00 for each sculpture. Stripping and refinishing the first bronze to a darker patina to resemble the second casting was done by the foundry for an additional $75.00.; Abbr=PUB
