Brown was one of at least four Building Superintendents during the construction of Scotty's Castle complex. The Historic Resource Study, Death Valley Scotty Historic District, 2009, p. 212 identified this drawing as Brown's proposed ranch house at the Lower Grapevine Ranch. Inscription in black ink on lower left corner referring to historic photograph number system: 1676. Inscription in pencil on reverse: 133. Black and white, 3x5 inch, horizontal format. Corner mounted in photograph album.
