Uniform hat of Colonel Simeon Buford Gibbons, 10th Virginia Infantry.
Color image of the back of the uniform hat that goes with the uniform jacket of Simeon B. Gibbons. The hat is a khaki color with one side of the brim folded up and attached to the crown of the hat. On the outside of the section of brim that is folded up, a black plumed feather is attached.
Uniform hat of Colonel Simeon Buford Gibbons, 10th Virginia Infantry. This hat was meant to be worn with the matching plain wool coat that Colonel Gibbons was wearing when he was killed on May 8th, 1862 at the Battle of McDowell.
