This is an historic black and white photograph from the Scotty's Castle Historic Photograph Collection, Death Valley National Park of man in cowboy hat, coat, vest, knee high boots looking at large gate with matching sides. Each side has vertical boards of various length to form curved top edge. Decorative wrought iron hinges are massive leading from stucco pillar to last board on gate. Wrought iron gate closure at top. At bottom is hinged pin that can drop down to keep gate open. Stables tile roofline in background. Inscriptions in black ink along upper and lower border.
