To'aga beach, National Park of American Samoa, 2015.
To’aga beach in the Ofu area of the National Park of American Samoa has the characteristics neecssary for a good turtle nesting beach: a gentle slope with expanses of sand. Mothers dig their nests in the sand, burying up to 100 eggs that will incubate for two months. Hatchlings climb out of the sand and dash to the ocean. Healthy, clean beaches are critical for all sea turtles. Let's keep our islands clean and beautiful!
