The resort landscape is located on a relatively level point of land beside Lake Crescent. It is surrounded by dense coniferous rainforest and mountains, as seen here in the late afternoon shadows. The lodge and remaining cabins were constructed incorporating bungalow style features, such as gable roofs, overhanging eves, exposed rafters, small porches, and rustic exterior sheathing.
