Olympic National Park
Rosemary Inn, in operation from 1915 to ca. 1943, is representative of early 20th century wilderness resort development at Lake Crescent on the Olympic Peninsula. The remaining landscape characteristics of the historic site are typical of recreational resorts of the era. The landscape is is located on a relatively level point of land called Barnes Point, surrounded by Lake Crescent to one side and dense coniferous rainforest and mountains on the others.
