Ogden of the Southern Educational Conference for educational leaders to tour Richmond, VA, Birmingham, AL, and Columbia, SC, in 1903, 1904, and 1905 respectively. Both Joseph Gilbert Thorp Jr. and Anne Allegra Longfellow Thorp attended.
