A rock fall from midway up Glacier Point resulted in a large dust cloud over Curry Village. The rock debris was confined to the upper portion of the talus slope at the base of Glacier Point, with the exception of several small "flyrock" fragments that struck the ground and trees near the Curry Village pool and shower house. The most distant flyrock fragments traveled 580 meters horizontally from the source area.
