2015 Rancheria Trail rock fall
A dust cloud rises from a cliff on the other side of a reservoir.
A rock fall occurred from the north wall of Hetch Hetchy Valley, between the Beehive switchbacks and Tueeulala Falls, and above the Rancheria Trail. Rock debris fell all the way to the talus slope at the base of the cliff, knocking over oak trees and leaving a few small boulders on the Rancheria Trail. The source area and runout path were covered in dark brown dirt which was moist from recent rain.
