2009 Rhombus Wall rock fall
White rock fall dust cloud rising above the valley with the outline of steep rock walls on either side.
A rock fall occurred from the upper portion of the Rhombus Wall north of the Ahwahnee Hotel and east of Royal Arches. A rock mass fell about 250 m, impacting the large talus slope north the Ahwahnee parking lot. Impact on the talus, and possibly along the fall path, produced a large dust cloud and numerous flyrock fragments.
