Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail

This property owned by Rutherford County, North Carolina is alternately known as Biggerstaff's Plantation, Biggerstaff's Old Fields, or the Biggerstaff Farm. It is a certified site of interest for the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail and was the site of a camp used in the aftermath of the 1780 Battle of Kings Mountain. On October 14, 1780 the Patriot army held a trial and executed nine of their Loyalist prisoners at this site.
