Maritime Heritage Program

As part of the 1988 National Historic Landmark (NHL) theme study, "The Maritime Heritage of the United States," historians from the NHL Program and the Maritime Heritage Program collected NHL nominations for canals and waterways. The list is updated as new NHLs are designated.
