Photos of a replica 1857 flatbed phonautograph: Invented by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville in Paris, France in 1857. This object is a full-scale replica based on historic drawings, built in 2016 by Anton Stoelwinder for the David Giovannoni collection. An original machine of this design does not survive.
