Transcripts of oral history interviews conducted by NPS oral historian Dr. Lu Ann Jones with NPS Civil Rights pioneers, defined as individuals who broke employment barriers of race, ethnicity, gender, and identify in the past 50 years and who have worked for change within the agency. The project was part of the NPS Park History Program's effort to use oral history research to document the history of the agency.
