Aleutian World War II National Historic Area

Henry K. Kowalski was a Gunner and Aerial Photographer on Lt. Watkins crews as part of the 404th Bomb Squadron until the war ended and also as an Aircraft Dispatcher on Adak. Included in his extensive collection of more than 140 photos are images of life in the Aleutian Islands as well as aerial images of bases and targets, and the aircraft and crews engaged in missions from the Aleutians to Japan.
