Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument was invited to participate in the 2014 Folklife Festival. As part of the Festival celebrations, Sibilio National Park and Hagerman Fossil Beds were going to sign a Sister Park agreement. This is the first agreement between the USA and an African country.
