Everglades National Park
With close to 400 species of birds having been documented as occurring naturally in South Florida, the overall list of birds is rich. About 60% of these species are winter residents, migrating into South Florida from the north, or are hurried visitors, stopping only briefly in the spring or fall in the migration between tropical America and points father north in the United States or Canada. The remaining 40% are the species that breed in South Florida.
