Landmarks are represented by dark green dots and labels or light green shading. Roads and highways are represented by brown lines. Extended Description There are six sites labeled with green callout boxes on the map. One is on the northern border of Delaware and Pennsylvania and reaches down into the state. The northernmost is Brandywine Valley, which is shown as a dark green patch of land west of US Highway 202 that crosses the state line into Pennsylvania. Brandywine Creek State Park is just south of the valley. The next two landmarks are the Old Swedes Historic Site and Fort Christina. Both are located in the city of Wilmington. Just south of Wilmington is the city of New Castle along the Delaware River. This is where Historic New Castle is located. US Highway 13 travels from New Castle to Dover in the middle of the state. Just north of Dover is the Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge. It sits along the Delaware River where the river empties into the Delaware Bay. In Dover is the Dover Green. Just south of Dover is the John Dickinson Plantation along State Highway 1. The final landmark on the map is Cape Henlopen State Park off US Highway 9. This is where the Lewes-Cape May passenger ferry docks after crossing the bay from Cape May in New Jersey. Legend A scale in the lower right corner of the map measures distances of 5 kilometers and 5 miles. Below the scale is a legend that reads as follows: Dark green for National Park Service site, Tan for Urban area, and Light green for Other protected area.
