Alt Text Park map of Moores Creek National Battlefield in North Carolina. The park is outlined and shaded green, and the surrounding area is tan. Green dotted and black dotted lines represent trails. Extended Description Moores Creek winds down the left edge of the rectangular park. The entrance to the battlefield is located just off State Highway 210 along Moores Creek Drive to the right. Shown as a gray line, Negro Head Point Road (historic trace) weaves through the park. The Visitor Center and restrooms are located on Moores Creek Drive. Another road, Patriots Hall Drive, branches off of Moores Creek Drive and heads into the park. Two trails begin at the Visitor Center. The first is the Tarheel Trail, which creates a loop with the Visitor Center and Moores Creek Drive. A spur of that trail leads to the Women’s Monument. The History Trail creates a circuit from the Visitor Center and across the park, crossing the Boardwalk, marsh area, Caswell’s Campsite, reconstructed Bridge, and Bridge Monument on the far end where it crosses over Moores Creek twice. The trail continues past Reconstructed Patriot Earthworks, the Loyalist Monument, Patriot (Grady) Monument, Moore Monument, and Women’s Monument before returning to the Visitor Center. Patriots Hall Drive leads into the northern part of the park and ends at the park's Picnic Area. Patriots Hall and the Picnic Shelter are located nearby. Legend In the lower right corner of the map, the North arrow is angled to the left at ten o’clock. Below this a scale measures 50 and 100 meters and 100 and 500 feet.
