Alt Text Map of Weir Farm National Historic Site in Connecticut. Park property is indicated in green and the surrounding areas in tan. Extended Description Nod Hill Road runs north-south through the site about a quarter of the way across the park’s width. A note near the road at the top edge of the map reads, "To Branchville Station, State Route 102 and US Route 7.” The road leads to State Route 33 in the south. Pelham Lane then extends off of Nod Hill Road in a T intersection about halfway up the park. Nod Hill Road and Pelham divide the left part of the site into roughly square parcels to the north and south of Pelham Lane, both west of Nod Hill Road. The rest of the site juts eastward in a chunky Z-shape on its side. This description will begin with the parcels divided by Pelham Lane and Nod Hill Road before moving to the largest section to the east of Nod Hill Road. Five sites cluster in the northwest parcel: Weir Barn, Weir Garden, Young Studio, Weir Studio, and Weir House. Three more buildings are in the southwest parcel, including Burlingham House Visitor Center, Burlingham Barn, which has restrooms, and Sunken Garden. A thick gray line outlines much of the site in the upper parcel and entirely encircles the lower portion, which is also subdivided into at least five smaller sections. The Pond Trail enters the map from near the lower left corner near text reading “Trail to Weir Preserve,” makes its way north to wind through the buildings and cross Pelham Lane. It turns east after crossing Nod Hill Road and makes its way across the largest section to a pond at the eastern end. In that final section are the Caretaker’s House, Artist-In-Residence Studio, and parking (no RVs). Legend A scale in the top left corner of the map measures 0.1 kilometers and 0.1 miles. A legend in the lower right reads as follows: Green for park property and Gray for Stone Wall.
