Extended Description

Truman Library and Truman Home are in the upper right quadrant of the map. The state line for Kansas runs vertically near the left edge of the map, and the Missouri River curls across the map to the north. Kansas City lies just west of Independence, and Truman Farm is in the lower left quadrant, closer to the state line.

Highways and roads create almost a grid across the area. From left to right, the roads that run north-west include Interstate 35, US Route 71, Interstate 435, Blue Ridge Boulevard, Noland Road, and State Route 291. From the top down, roads running mostly east-west include US Route 24, which is Independence Avenue, State Route 12 (Truman Road), Interstate 70, US Route 40, US Route 50, and Interstate 470.
