Alt Text Map of the Salem Maritime National Historic Site in Massachusetts. The historic site is shown in green, surrounding areas in beige, and roads in white. Extended Description To the right on this map, the green historic site covers an area along the shore about four blocks wide and a few blocks long. One shorter wharf and one long, needle-like wharf reach into Salem Harbor, which is unlabeled and shown in white. The South River runs east-west south of the historic site. About a dozen sites are labeled among an irregular network of roads, many of which are labeled with only the proper names (without Street, Road, etc) across the map. From west to east, the Assembly House is between Carpenter and Flint near the left edge of the map. Ropes Mansion is at the T intersection of Essex and Cambridge, and the Pierce-Nichols House is north near the intersection of Federal and North Summer.
