A View of Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau from the Captain Cook Monument
The image is in black and white. The bottom and top of the photo is covered with foliage in the foreground of the image. Along the top, tree limbs extend down and to the right from one edge of the picture to the other. The leaves are small but numerous, creating a thick layer of cover. Along the bottom, numerous small shrubs and young trees grow on the edge of the cliff. In the lower right corner, a patch of short grass is visible along the cliff's edge. Between the ground vegetation and the tree branches, in the center of the picture, is the coastline. It is very faint compared to the other elements of the photo. The ocean and sky are entirely too light to see.
