Alt Text Map of Ford Island surrounded by the Middle Loch, East Loch, and Southeast Loch of Pearl Harbor on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii. Land is shown in tan, park areas in green, and the water in blue. Extended Description Land across the bottom of the map starts on the left with the USS Nevada Memorial and a Shipyard. Pearl Harbor Memorial Fountain and World War II Submarine Memorial are along or near the coastline of the Southeast Loch, which juts into the bottom left corner of the map. Kamehameha Highway spans this area and crosses a body of water to reach the Visitor Center near the Admiral Bernhard “Chick” Clarey Bridge. The USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park is docked near the bridge, which spans the East Loch and reaches Ford Island. A Shuttle Boat Route travels from the boat dock next to the visitor center to the USS Arizona Memorial just off Ford Island. The memorial is flanked to each side by Mooring Quays. The USS Missouri is docked along Battleship Row, which encompasses almost this whole edge of the island. An oil slick is labeled just beyond Battleship Row near the Southeast Loch. Sites on the island include, from right to left along Battleship Row, the USS Arizona Marker, USS Tennessee and USS West Virginia Marker, a green area with Chief Petty Officer Housing, and USS Oklahoma Memorial near the USS Missouri. A cluster of buildings at the far end of the island to the left includes a Dispensary, Air Control Tower, Navy Barracks, Pacific Aviation Museum (Hanger 37), Hangar 79, Hangar 54, Bom Crater, and PBY Ramp. The Ford Island Airstrip nearly bisects the island. On the far side of the island are the USS Utah Memorial and “New” Bachelor Officers Quarters (Currently the Navy Lodge). Across a straight leading to the Pacific Ocean is the Waipio Peninsula, shown in pale green, in the top left corner of the map. Across the Middle Loch and in the top right corner is Pearl City Peninsula with the Pan Am Clipper Site.
