Alt Text 3D park map of Russell Cave National Monument in Alabama. A diagonally oriented bowtie-shaped area outlined in green represents the boundaries of the site with trails and other landmarks marked throughout the lower half of the forested landscape. Extended Description Alabama Route 98 runs horizontally across the bottom of the map with text pointing to the left that reads, "To Bridgeport and US Route 72.” From there, a road in the lower right quadrant runs into the park past a picnic area to a cul-de-sac in front of the Gilbert Grosvenor Visitor Center, which has a picnic area and parking. On the far side of the building, a boardwalk extends to the left and ends in a small loop near Cave Shelter. A green callout box below the boardwalk has text that reads, "Cave Trail 0.2 miles (0.3 kilometers).” Midway along the boardwalk, a looping trail leads to a feature labeled “Sinkhole” at the end of the trail. At the top of the same trail a dark brown callout box reads, “Nature Trail 1.2 miles roundtrip (1.9 kilometers).” A connecting trail cuts across the lower half of the Nature Trail with a callout box in blue that reads, “Cutoff Trail, 0.2 miles (0.3 kilometers).” At the high point of the ridge, Russell Point, measuring 1,654 feet (504 meters), is to the right of center just below the horizon line. A band of tree-covered hills is hazy in the distance under a pale blue and peach sky. Legend A north arrow at the bottom center of the map has North pointing nearly to the right. A note reads, "Scale varies in this perspective view.” The legend continues as follows: Green shading for NPS property, Thin white triangle for Distance indicator, Dark pink line for the boardwalk, and Dashed light pink line for hiking trails. Trail ratings are listed as green for Easy, blue for Moderate, and dark gray for Difficult.
