Kinetograms – A bi-monthly bulletin of Moving Picture News, with the emphasis on Edison Films and Kinetoscopes and intended for exhibitors. Published by The Edison Manufacturing Company from August 1909 – June 1915. All issues include information/descriptions and music cues for many Edison films within the time frame they cover, as well as Q&A sections. The list of information below includes some of the issues within this volume but is not comprehensive and is just a sample of what can be found within each.
Volume 6 contains Kinetograms dated February 1, 1912 – July 15 1912.
Volume 6, Issue 2, February 15, 1912: Includes information on actor Harold M. Shaw.
Volume 6, Issue 3, March 1, 1912: Includes information on actor Yale Boss.
Volume 6, Issue 4, March 15, 1912: Includes information on actress Gertrude McCoy, as well as an article titled “Tuberculosis Tour in Washington” among others.
Volume 6, Issue 7, May 1, 1912: Includes information on actor/producer Ashley Miller. Includes article titled “Edison on Education” which includes quotes from Thomas Edison on the use of motion pictures in grammar and elementary schools as well as an article titled: “At the Edison Studio.”
Volume 6, Issue 8, May 15, 1912: Includes information on director C. Jay Williams.
Volume 6, Issue 10, June 15, 1912: Includes information on J. Searle Dawley.
Volume 6, Issue 11, July 1, 1912: Includes information on actor William West.
Volume 6, Issue 12, July 15, 1912: Includes information on actor Marc MacDermott.
