This is an historic black and white photograph from the Scotty's Castle Historic Photograph Collection, Death Valley National Park of one man visiting intently with another man seated in front of a very large metal box. One man is standing but with leg up on box, leaning on it. Other man is seated. Both men dressed for cold weather. Pieces of canvas or quilts secured by rocks on corners of metal box. Large wooden tub and small metal pail in foreground. Sparce, low vegetation on distance hillside.
