Frederick William Kropf working at Deep Springs Ranch, 1927. Inscription on top in black ink: Kropf/ 1927/ Deep Springs/ Ranch. Possibly fencing with roll of wire in hand and ground. Unique type of fencing in background from native wood - upright posts of branches with woven horizontal branches at mid-height. On reverse in pencil: Fred Kropf. Kropf helped build the Deep Springs College and is where he became acquainted with Albert M. Johnson. This dates to a time after he worked at Death Valley Ranch. Black and white, vertical format.
