Storm Damage on the Halemau'u Trail, 1937
A trail through rocky terrain is strewn with rocks.
CCC Haleakala Crater Trails District. After construction, maintaining the trail system was a significant task for CCC laborers. Even with the newly-constructed drainage systems and attention to natural erosion patterns, the trails experienced major storm damage during each rainy season.
