1 of 25 Monuments to Massachusetts. Indicates position held July 3, 1863 as relief to Edgell's New HamPShire Battery. Located S end National Cemetery near Lincoln Speech Memorial. || Mn w/1 cannon. Mn base 4'square, shaft w/raised polished surface & incised inscription front, reverse of excised polished stone w/corps insiginia. Cap of pryamidal design. All 6'H. 1 cannon to left, right missing.
