Cobb Monument
Monument erected in memory of statesman, lawyer & CSA Gen. Thomas Reade Rootes Cobb who was mortally wounded Dec. 13, 1862 near the monument location along the Sunken Road. || 18"x30" base w/ monolith shaft, 12"x24"x33"H front, chamferred to 36"H back. Smooth cut & polished w/ raised inscription in chamfer & on face of monument. Inscriptions badly eroded.
