Gen. MacArthur Given Hero's Welcome

Crowds cheer Gen. Douglas MacArthur as he travels in an open car along Independence Avenue after addressing a joint session of Congress where he was given a hero's welcome. A week earlier, on April 11, 1951, President Harry S. Truman relieved the general of his command.
