National Association of Colored Women (NACW) - Convention itinerary and notes from spiral notebook
National Association of Colored Women (NACW) - Convention itinerary and notes from spiral notebook
These are a collection of pages from a spiral notebook that contain an itinerary and handwritten meeting notes of Walker that she took while attending the 18th Convention of the National Association of Colored Women and the International Congress of Women held in Chicago in July 1933. The itinerary lists various places and people she would see and meetings she would attend while in Chicago. The handwritten meeting notes contain many lists of states and associated numbers. These may be tallies of attendees from each state for the different meetings. There are also lists of people with their associated titles and a page with a list of recommendations from the President's Report. The recommendations include taking steps to reduce the cost of producing National Notes, plans to pay for Headquarters, celebrations for Douglass Day and NACW Week, plans for a scholarship fund and need to keep in closer touch with the International Council of Women
