Mrs. Lewis Sewall, Chairman, Gettysburg Monument Commission Alabama Division, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Mobile, Alabama Dear Mrs. Sewall: Receipt is acknowledge of your letter of October 14, 1933, requesting approval of Sunday, November 12, 1933, as the date for unveiling of the Alabama Memorial being erected in this Park to the memory of the Alabama troops in the Battle of Gettysburg. On October 10, 1933, Hammaker Brothers, Thurmont, Md., who are in charge of the erection of this Memorial, furnished this office with a tentative program of the dedication exercises. As soon as final approval of the program has been given by your Commission I would appreciate receiving a copy. Very truly yours, James R. McConaghie Superintendent
